Here are some tips from the race director.
Half Marathon Course.
Run with a hydration pack: If this is your first trail half marathon a hydration pack is recommended, I ran the course on 60 degrees weather and my 3 liter hydration pack was enough for the 13.1 mile run (3 hr 7 mins run)
Hydrate and refill water bottle/hydration pack: We will have aid stations along the course but we strongly recommend to refill and hydrate as much as you can at each station.
Energy food: If you like the energy gels or bars, we recommend to bring at least 4 to 5 gels or 2 bars.
Caution: Be extremely careful and watch were you step, there are some sections where the trail is very natural and it can be rough if caution is not taken.
FAQ’s
Is there a cut off time for the half marathon? Yes, we will have a 3.5 hour time limit. Participants must be able to maintain an average of 16 minutes per mile.
Is there a cut off time for the 10K? Yes, we will have a 3 hour time limit.
Is there a cut off time along the course? Yes will have a cut of at mile 5.0 for the Half Marathon. Half marathon runners need to run within 1.20 minutes from the start.
Can I run with my dog? As much as we like our pet, dogs are not allowed on the course.
Can I get a refund or credit for next years event? Unfortunately there are no refunds or credits but we will be happy to transfer your registration to a friend, family member or other to run this years event.
